Trace Project ''My Cells''
1.Why do I want to do this?
I always draw my cells, so I thought this is an example of the world trace.
That's why I decided to make ''my cells''.
2.What is ''My Cells''?
These are a part of my body, for example they are within my brain.
It can change everyday, anytime.
It can change everyday, anytime.
I drew the inside of my brain to express these moments and to record them.
I think recording something is very important because otherwise if you don't do it,
it is going to disappear and never come up again.

it is going to disappear and never come up again.
3.How to make it?
I drew my cells on two transparent sheets and used a projector.
I could feel a layer of shadow.
film - ''every moment''
put on the colour
because I think colour also can show my feelings so it is going to important.
I made the video and uploaded it on youtube.
the final one is about my life in Farnham.

TRACE 12.OCT.Mon and 13.OCT.Tue
12.OCT.Monday
We discussed about artwork in relation to
the concept of TRACE.
The begging I did not know that what is
trace.
During the lecture we discussed artwork of
some artist.
The one of my favourite was ‘Breath’ by
Gabriel Orazco.
When I saw this first time I thought it is
something steam of plate, but actually it was someone’s breath.
Then I could understand that this is also
trace. Actually I have seen this kind of trace in my sister’s room because she
always was sleeping on the top of the piano when she was tired. That is why for
me, it is the artwork, which is very close on my life.
In addition, we watched artworks ‘Something
Making Something Leeds to Nothing’ by Francis Alys, ‘Following Piece’ by Vito
Accouci, ‘Rock Drawing’ by Richard Long and ‘Rubbing’ by Ana Meudieta.
I thought every trace work relate to our
life like something the piano, ice, rock and snow. Those materials are familiar
to us.
More than being able to see in real arts, I
was able to deepen my understanding.
13.OCT.Tuesday
Drawing day!!! My hands became the drawing
machines. We drew around every each of paper, it was so much fun. I used my
kitchen object, which is a spoon and fork. After using drawing machines, I used
a white pencil for something trace. I drew a lot of mushrooms every part of
paper. Then everyone realized that I drew it! I think it is something my
symbol. After finished we took 10 pictures, it is also trace.
We made Drawing Machine2 to use toilet
papers and cardboards.
I think this idea that using it is mazing because usually people think that they are something worthless, but they’ve became beautiful drawing machine.
Trace of machine
It looks like strip of paper. We hung it
from a ceiling. I think this colour and the gap between from a ceiling express
our emotion and feeling.
Before doing this, I haven’t expected this
artwork is beautiful.
I could have knowledge of trace during two
days.

Rochester 10.OCT FRI
This was our second UCA campus tour, the previous one was Canterbury.
First of all, we had a look around the fashion department which had very beautiful fabric. The model was taking photographs. It was my first time to see the model so I was excited.
My favorite fashion design
Secondly, we had a film workshop. At the beginning I was very confused, but gradually my mind was
like ohhh I see, ok lets do it!
Process1>We used a glue gun to stick the wood
Process2>Once the glue dried, we painted the wood black!
Process3>Once the black paint dried, we added texture to the wood!
Process4>Creating a rusted effect on the wood.
Point: do it naturally
Then complete!!!!!
During our Rochester tour, I got a bit lost. However, once I discovered one of the very colourful animation studios, I felt very happy!
I thought
it’s my style. To be honest, I’m not very interested in animation but I really like
to watch cartoons, especially the Power Puff Girls, sponge bob and marvel. The
animation studio remained me of spider-man’s place in USJ (universal studio
japan).
During my free time, I went back to the studio in which we had the rusted metal workshop, to design some earrings using sequins.
And I could make cute earrings using a glue
gun.
Do you want to buy it???
I had a nice day in Rochester thank you~~^^

25.Sep 2015 Canterbury campus tour
This day was very long day. I got up early and quick preparation to
go to Canterbury campus tour.
Farnham to Canterbury was quite long way but when I arrive to
there, I felt freshness.
The first impression in UCA of Canterbury was lively because there
are a lot of market near the campus and people.
In the campus, I enjoyed to two work shop which are about
architecture. First one was something like hoop architecture that used by red
hula-hoops and white connectors. It was first time to make huge architecture. I
had to think about the balance and angle.
Second one was making the leaning tower which is also huge
like more than 1m. First of all I was thinking about what materials can I
use. I research about leaning tower by my phone then I found one tower that it looks
like paper. That is why I decided to use materials which is hard light brown paper.
It was too big to use so I had to cut the paper by using saw which is very
noisy sound while using to it and it have very strong power to use. Each part
of papers were all flat so I rolled it and cut for connecting. Finally it was completed
which is paper leaning tower. It looked very nice and aesthetic tower I
thought. But I had a worry about egg test that if it will be good or not.
To be honest, I'm not interesting architecture, but through this
work shop, I could learn a lot of thing especially which is how to build. I had good
experiences about architecture.

TED Talk:Building the Seed cathedral
Today I watched TED Talk:Building the Seed Cathedral by Thomas Heatherwick.
After watching, we have two questions.
"1. How do you think the connection between aesthetic design and eco-friendly implications can change architecture and the world?"
I think that the connection between aesthetic design and eco-friendly implications are important for our life because it is not just architecture.
If it is normal one, people will think that it is not interesting.
Just way of thinking can change our lives into bright ones.
"2. What kind of things can you do in your own life that can help cities become more eco-friendly and more sustainable?"
I think that it is better that I have wide vision and thought.
If I have some idea about eco-friendly, it might be helping for someone even this is a small piece of thinking.
For example, in japan there are zigzag handrail for elderly person and kids.
The reason of zigzag is that because it is easy to grasp.
When I used this one I fell comfortable because it never slide and also my grandmother looked that easy to grasp.
Japan has a lot of barrier-free space and I hope it will be made all over the world as well.
The Design Museum in London
Hello every one.
Before going to The Design Museum, we went to London Bridge.
There were a lot of people who were taking pictures there and I took many pictures as well.
I would like to go to inside one day.
Next, I went to The Design Museum, it was really fantastic for me because I like contemporary art more than ancient art.
There were a lot of modern product designs, especially shoes design which was really interesting, for instance, colour and shape.
The shoes that I was surprised by were made from rubber.
It looked like someone's blood vessel and was ugly but I liked this one because it used vivid colours such as purple, pink, green, orange and blue.
It was named "PROTOCELL FOOTWEAR" made by Shamees Aden who is a researcher and multidisciplinary designer.
It was named "PROTOCELL FOOTWEAR" made by Shamees Aden who is a researcher and multidisciplinary designer.
She suggested to have a vision shoes in the future that was 3D-print shoes from artificial natural material it has same function with people skin from protocell technique.
It expands and contract with to respond to pressure.
As a result it will be easy to walk for people.
However, it might take over 40 years until sale because it is now project stage.
I hope it sale as soon as possible.
I think that The Design Museum is more like using something method, on the other hands another museum such as V and A that has a lot of ancient arts.
Personally, I prefer new one and I would like to know more about new design and artists.

maker 13 Aug
Hello everyone!
Today I watched the
cinema named “maker” that was really interesting.
In the movie that left the biggest
impression on me was the pretty girl who looks like normal girl but she is one
of the greatest artists.
The reason why I remember her is that I
have been attending art school since when I was in kindergarten. I thought that
she is like the old me.
That’s why she reminds me of experience in
my art school I had long ago.
Besides I remember that my teacher always
told me that “art is for everyone and free, you can do that you want to do”.
When I was watching the maker, I also
thought that art is that everyone from adults to a child can enjoy it.
There were a lot of artist in this movie. I
think that their thinking and method are different each other but their common
thing is that all of them are enjoying to create artworks.
Finally I would like to create artwork as
well as that like everyone can enjoy it.
